Mobile usage of social media is on the increase!

the following info-graphic indicates that access to social media via smart phone has increased dramatically over the past few years.  Accoding to a  2013 Adobe  Mobile Consumer survey, 71% of people use mobile to access Social Media. “People still predominantly use their mobile devices to gain information, including social. Of those surveyed, 71% reported using their mobile device to access social media.” 

Another interesting finding has implications for marketers.

One report states that more than 60 percent  of consumers indicate that the integration of social media makes them more likely to share products and services. (http://www.mediabistro.com/alltwitter/mobile-social-converge_b57051) The point made is that both social media marketers and social networks need to become aware of the ways that this close interaction between mobile usage and social media can be better  leveraged and utilized as a more efficient marketing tool.
